Planned Parenthood

As of last week Vice President of Public Policy, announced that Karen Handel, Susan G. Komen would resign from the breast cancer charity and also decline any offer of a severance package.
Komen pulled funding to many Planned Parenthood affiliates. Handel, a pro-life and anti-abortion advocate, is a catalyst for hurting Komens long time partnership with Planned Parenthood.  Atlanta Journal Constitution got hold of Handel’s resignation letter to CEO. Handel refused his responsibility for decisions and calls the reaction “gross mischaracterization of strategy”.  Handel’s dismissal for the past seven days has been making a big issue. Before they make commends on Handel for stepping down of her volition. AJC think there is more to her decision on why she left. As things stand, Handel has scheduled a press conference for later this afternoon.

I think that it’s nice that the parent hood situation is being recognized. And people are trying to help families who need it. It about time that the government and people in general are taking time to help the less unfortunate and taking care of them with what they can provide.

  1. I definitely side with planned parenthood too. So many people don't realize how much it affects the lives of women.
